Dwemer

Also known as Dwarves, the most mysterious and researched race of mer. In ancient times the Dwemer were masters of technology, creating vast underground mechanical cities, equipped with powered armour and their ranks bolstered by fearsome or industrious autonomous machines. Thier mastery over the arcane was also the stuff of legend, developing power over the Mundus to rival the daedra and even the aedra themselves.   The only thing more mysterious than their vast, mostly still untapped, knowledge was their sudden and apparently simultaneous disappearance. One fateful day, the entire race of Dwemer vanished from the Mundus leaving apparently none behind. However there was discovered to be a least one who survived this cataclysm, a single Dwemer travelling in Oblivion at the time of his people's disappearance. He belived himself to be the last of his kind, though perhaps there were others scattered across the many planes of Oblivion and lost, so far, to time.
