D&D 5.5e Monster Manual

Chuul Venom

Poison

Varies

Creatures whos wounds are exposed to this venom by a creature, object, or weapon must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution Saving Throw, or have the poisoned condition for 1 minute. While poisoned in this way, the creature has the paralyzed condition. The creature repeats the save at the end of each of it's turns, ending the effect on a success.

Similar to how a jellyfish injects venom into it's prey, Chuul venom is a faintly red, clear liquid, sourced from a Chuul's long red vine like stingers near their maw. Highly potent, but not deadly, this paralytic toxin quickly numbs the whole body, causing the poisoned creature to be unable to move.
