Titanborn

Titanborn inhabit the high, frozen peaks of the Crownspine Mountains. Dense bones, massive muscles, and cold-resistant physiology allow them to endure extreme altitude, wind, and snow. Their society celebrates endurance, climbing skill, and mastery over the mountain’s apex predators.   Titanborn are hunters, warriors, and miners. They carve paths through cliffs, train climbing squads, and test themselves against dangerous peak fauna. Elders teach that the mountain is a teacher: those who endure it gain strength, wisdom, and insight.

Titanborn Traits

Size: Medium: Titanborn typically stand 5’8”–6’5” with broad, powerful builds

Speed: 30 ft. walking, 20 ft. climbing

As a Titanborn, you have these special traits.

Mountain Adaptation   You have Resistance to Cold damage.   You are acclimated to high altitude, including elevations above 20,000 feet.   Titan’s Strength   Once per turn, when you hit with a melee weapon attack, you can deal extra damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per Long Rest.   Stone Toss   You are proficient with improvised weapons.   When you hit with an improvised thrown weapon that deals bludgeoning damage, it deals 1d8 damage instead of the normal damage for an improvised weapon.   Sure-Footed Climber   While climbing, you ignore nonmagical Difficult Terrain.   Languages   You can speak, read, and write Common and Giant.   Titanborn Feats Peak-Hardened Body   Level 4+, Titanborn   Increase your Strength or Constitution by 1 (max 20).   • When you take Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage, you can reduce it by your Proficiency Bonus. • You can use this reduction a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per Long Rest.   Skyclimber   Level 4+, Titanborn   Increase your Strength or Dexterity by 1 (max 20).   • Your climb speed increases to equal your walking speed. • You have Advantage on Strength (Athletics) checks made to climb.   Frost-Blood   Level 8+, Titanborn   Increase your Constitution by 1 (max 20).   • When you deal damage to a creature with a melee attack, you can reduce its speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. • You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per Long Rest.   Warden of the Peaks   Level 12+, Titanborn   Increase one ability score by 1 (max 20).   • You have Advantage on saving throws to resist being knocked Prone or moved against your will. • When you are subjected to forced movement, you can reduce that movement by 10 feet.   Lineage Variants   2024 favors lighter variations.   Stoneheart Titanborn   • Your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier while you aren’t wearing armor. • You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.   Skyclimber Titanborn   • Your climb speed increases by 10 feet. • You gain proficiency in Acrobatics or Survival.   Frostborn Titanborn   • Once per Long Rest, you can cast Fog Cloud. • You choose Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma as your spellcasting ability for it.
