As such he learned to gather information from auspicious places all while maintaining good graces with the Nobles. By the time he was full grown he had made connections in almost every corner of the realm, so when his father was murdered suddenly without any hint of who may have wanted his father dead Corvus turned to other means of finding the culprit. Corvus convened with mages across the realm seeking any who could give any information on his fathers killer. At last he found an eccentric mage who promised he could get Corvus the answers he sought. The mage a Demon Cultist proffered a meeting with his mistress which Corvus desperate after years of nothing but dead ends agreed. Once the meeting began the demon that the cultist summoned handed over the dagger that had been used to kill the Old Magistrate, taking the dagger after the demon explained that the dagger would allow him to see the connections between himself and the killer. When he took the dagger true to its word Corvus saw lines of energy connecting everyone around him. With this new vision he found trying to track the killer was easier but still lead to many dead ends. Too late he realized the daggers true purpose to possess and feed souls of those exposed to it into the Abyss.
