Description

When I create/edit pages with new editor a blank line gets translated to this:
But previously it saved as just The end result is any page edited with new editor is excessively long (but ultimately a different format). I don't want to remove the blank line entirely, because I need to the space for visibility when editing and I don't want to revisit every screen, but I now need to go back to old edit for every page. And saving on the WHOLE page applies the change to the whole page.

Steps to Reproduce

Edit any page. Put a blank line in between two quote blocks (for example).

I can confirm this. The new editor saves it with the , while the old editor saves the exact same content without. Whichever editor I last saved the article in, impacts what the article looks like, even if I didn't touch the relevant parts at all. NEW EDITOR:

    OLD EDITOR:

I am using Firefox on Windows myself.
