The confrontation with Shanvér's spiders still fresh in their minds, Shenzàn, Vider and Veman trudge back to rejoin the others.
Their complementary skills give Shen concerns about their mission, as though their teamwork seems almost too good.

Hey all,
I've had a silent month, as we were visiting family for the first half of July and I've had a health crash for the other half.
Summer Camp was not an option for me this year, but I do have a new chapter of The Cleansing of Zykyrn Pilkarrz out now.
It's mostly about food. But even as Vazkyr falls in love with the Bluefish Pastry, her overtired mind is trying to tell her that it's not just about food.

New Chapter 18 of The Cleansing.
Having had medical aid, Kanda-Nor is refreshed and ready for research. Having slept in a chair in the medical wing, Vazkyr... is not.
But a stressful 23 hours gives way at last. If only they could figure out how to say goodbye.
Working on Drawings
I've also started to do a bit more sketching to add to my writing (hence the cover). My hand sketches always seems to look worse after a camera has had its say, but I know I'm no famous illustrator either!

My task to convert chapters of The Cleansing to Manuscript format is continuing. Tonight I've published Chapters 5 and 6.
In one chapter a delivery brings a sign of hope. In the next chapter, a totally different delivery threatens despair.
It's not Prose vs Manuscript
Manuscript and Article is not an either/or. I am leaving the Prose Series as it is, but using manuscripts to let you read whichever way is the most comfortable for you.
Drawings
I am still doing sketches for this story, but writing has to come first.

I Hit My Rebel Novelember Targets (Just!)
I wasn't sure I was going to manage it, due to illness and other home stresses, but I made my targets of 15 Episodes and 25,000 Words.

After releasing Ch8 for Followers (Màraparii) I totally forgot to make it public for the rest of the world. So that's been fixed! Emotions are running high following Carnael's outburst at the Stones of Myrn, but the announcement of Rusziné's exile is not the end of the plot against him.World-MaybeEmber!
I've finally done a long-overdue write-up of King Carnael II. After planning it, there's a lot to say, but I want to add more visuals before creating more text, otherwise it'll be an encyclopaedia entry. I don't know if I'll make it to 10k words for #WorldEmber2023 - my two articles were ones I did because they needed doing, not because of specific prompts. Time and health have not been on my side this December. But I'll try. If I don't get to chat with anyone beforehand, have a good #Christmas and here's to more writing and world-building in the new year.

While things appear to be calming down after repelling the Kyadii incursion, emotions are beginning to run high elsewhere in the Realm. As the Kyadii seek to return home before the relative warmth of the Qalathian Winter permanently damages their eyesight, Rusziné gives his one remaining squad member a lesson in reason before the former Captain is forcibly ejected from the Realm.
But something is stirring in Saf-Athan Palace, where Carnael prepares to break a law he himself set in motion.
