Preparations
We've arrived at the site of the expedition launch. The first meeting went well. We met the officers that are planning and leading the expedition. They seem like an experienced and reliable team, but I suppose only time will tell if those impressions prove to be true.
As for the other volunteer adventurers, I've not met many of them yet, so it's too soon to judge the group as a whole. It looks like we have some... interesting personalities. Two of which have agreed to join Twindle and me as a group. One is a Sentrylock, the other a Griot. These last days before we officially set off will be used to get to know each other a bit more as well as grab any last minute gear and supplies. I'll have to see is Twindle needs anything.
I have mixed feelings about the road ahead. This is a dangerous mission that has failed several times before. It's not unreasonable to expect things will turn south. Yet, my curiosity to see what lies in the Ebon Cascade spurs me on. I don't know if that will be my salvation or my undoing.

Several busy days of travel later, and we've made it to the Cascade.
